Times When Being a Server is Great

When you add gratuity to a check and then the customer doubles it, you know it's a great day to be a server. And when you go home after a long day at work and you don't have to take your work home with you, it's fabulous. Or how about when all your customers love you and they give you 20% tips all night long. Then you take a look around and realize you've got a great group of friends who make work enjoyable. These are some times that make being a server bearable. Check this link out for a full list of reasons why being a server is great.

Good Hair Day

Ever have one of those days where your hair just looks perfect? You want to flaunt your hair to the world when it looks that good right? Then you realize you have to go to work and pull that fabulous hair up. BUMMER. DAY RUINER.

Nicknames for Regulars

In any restaurant, there are always those customers that come in more than once... almost like every day. Unfortunately they are your regulars. Although it is true that 80% of a business's business comes from 20% of it's customers, sometimes we just don't like some of those regulars. If your restaurant is just like mine, you'll have nicknames for specific regulars. These regulars may or hopefully may not know of these nicknames.

Rachel Knows My Life

Everyone is having babies and getting promoted.
Everyone else is having babies and getting promotions, and I'm just serving customers coffee and breakfast. I love my life.

Pick a Number!

If a customer ever asks you to pick a number between 1-10, make sure you pick 10! They are asking you this because the number you pick will determine your tip. If you pick 10, your tip will be $100, but if you pick 3, your tip will be $30. I have actually had this happen to me more than once! So choose wisely.
Choose 10!

Tipping Etiquette

Poor tippers suck.
This lady nailed it. So true!

Ebola?

All this Ebola craze has got me worried. Can we catch Ebola from our customers? Like, are we going to die just from doing our job? We could go to work in full gear, but would that be necessary? According to Bitchy Waiter, we cannot catch this unless we hug or kiss someone that has Ebola. So,  I think we're safe. But here's something funny to make you giggle today.
